Addison Carbone of Baldwin Wallace Named Academic All-District 7 in Football

Baldwin Wallace University football student-athlete, Addison Carbone of Berea has been named as first-team CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 selections and now qualifies for the 2013 CAPITAL ONE Academic All-America ballot.

To qualify for selection, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum 3.3 grade point average, be a starter or key reserve and play in at least 70 percent of his/ her teams games.

Carbone, who carries a 3.68 grade point average in finance, is making a remarkable recovery from an injury that sidelined him after the second game of the season in 2012. He has 21 tackles, including three for loss and a quarterback sack. He is a Dean’s List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of a number of honoraries. While injured last season, Carbone became the color analyst for Yellow Jacket football games on campus radio station WBWC, 88.3 FM
