All-OAC Midfielder Maddie Russell of Baldwin Wallace Earns IWLCA All-Great Lakes Region Honor

Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference midfielder Maddie Russell of Lakewood has been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Great Lakes Region team.

Russell, a second-team selection garners her second career IWLCA All-Great Lakes Region honor after being named to the second-team last season. The three-time All-OAC first-team selection led the team with 33 caused turnovers, 64 ground balls and 53 draw controls. Russell also added 30 goals and 26 assists for 56 points. She is the school's all-time leader with 139 caused turnovers, 212 ground balls, 143 draw controls, 181 points and 114 goals. Russell also holds three BW game-records categories and two season school-records.

Russell led BW to an overall record of 11-7 this season. Russell and the Yellow Jackets had an OAC record of 4-3 and advanced to the OAC Tournament semifinal game for the third straight season.
