Amanda Frazier helps stage "Enchanted April" at Baldwin Wallace University

2016 May 27

Amanda Frazier of Lorain was part of a talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University that staged Matthew Barber's Tony-nominated play, "Enchanted April," during the spring 2016 semester. The play is a joyfully restorative tale set amongst wisteria and Mediterranean sunshine.

Directed by Jack Winget, the play ended BW's main stage series with a story of four women from post-World War I London on a ladies-only holiday in Italy where they shed inhibitions and blossom anew - rediscovering themselves in ways they could never have imagined. Frazier, a graduate of Clearview High School majoring in theatre design and technical studies, served as assistant lighting designer for the production

"Enchanted April" is one of an extensive number of performance experiences providing real-world opportunities for students of the Baldwin Wallace theatre and dance program. There are two main stage productions and a series of one-acts each semester. Productions include musicals, operas, plays and a dance concert. The BW theatre and dance program's 2016-2017 production season begins in September. Performance details will be available in August at http://www.bw.edu/events/theatre-dance/index.
