Andrew Ross helped stage "The Two Noble Kinsmen" at Baldwin Wallace University

2015 Nov 24

Andrew Ross of Amherst was part of a talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University that staged "The Two Noble Kinsmen" in the fall 2015 semester. The play, co-written by William Shakespeare and John Fletcher, draws from Chaucer's "A Knight's Tale" and borrows elements from the relationship between Venus and Mars. Ross, a graduate of Marion L. Steele High School majoring in theatre with a focus on acting and directing, played the part of Jailer and served as the Fight Captain in the production.

Directed by Adam Heffernan, "The Two Noble Kinsmen" chronicles the story of two cousins, Palamon and Arcite and their obsessive love for Athenian princess Emilia. As Shakespeare's last written piece for theatre, he returns to themes and characters from his earlier career creating a rich drama featuring obsessive love.

Upcoming Baldwin Wallace University productions include "Big Love," directed by Anjanette Hall, running March 30-April 3 and "Enchanted April," directed by Jack Winget, running April 20-24. All performances are open to the public and tickets are available at www.bw.edu/tickets.
