Andrew Wilhelm inducted into Computer Science Honor Society at Baldwin Wallace University

Andrew Wilhelm of Brooklyn was inducted into the Baldwin Wallace University chapter of Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE), International Honor Society for the Computing and Information Disciplines, in the spring 2016 semester. Wilhelm, a graduate of HEARTS for Jesus Christ Christian Education Institute majoring in computer network security, shared the honor with 10 other students. Society membership is extended to students who rank in the upper 35 percent of the class; have attained a general scholarship GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; and completed at least 45 semester hours of college work, including 15 semester hours in the basic courses in the computing and information disciplines.

Founded in 1967, the purpose of UPE is to promote the computing and information disciplines and to encourage their contribution to the enhancement of knowledge. UPE seeks to recognize superior educational achievement, assist in maximizing the personal and professional growth of members through scholarships, and establish significant partnerships with external constituencies interested in promoting and subsidizing high quality computing science education.
