Bethany Mattern graduates Cum Laude from Baldwin Wallace University

Bethany Mattern of Austintown, a graduate of Austintown-Fitch High School, graduated Cum Laude from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Commencement speaker David E. Gilbert, president and CEO of the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, Destination Cleveland and the 2016 Republican National Convention Host Committee, urged the graduates to have the courage to pursue work they are passionate about. "If you enjoy what you do, you will tend to do it better and work harder. That produces results, sets you apart from others, and will make you more successful. Certainly, doing what you love will allow enjoyment and fulfillment to follow," Gilbert advised.

BW celebrated more than 170 students who completed degree requirements by the end of the Fall 2015 semester at the University's first formal Fall Commencement exercises in December.
