2017 Jun 29

Christen Ford of Lorain was inducted into the Baldwin Wallace University chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon (KME), National Mathematics Honor Society, in the spring 2017 semester. Ford, a graduate of Midview High School majoring in computer science, shared the honor with 12 other students. Society membership is extended to students with three semesters of college completed; three courses in mathematics including at least one in calculus; a minimum 3.0 GPA in mathematics and a ranking in the upper 35 percent of their class.

Founded in 1931, KME is a specialized honor society in mathematics. KME seeks to promote the interest of mathematics among undergraduate students. Chapters are located in colleges and universities of recognized standing which offer a strong mathematics major. Members are selected from students of mathematics and other closely related fields who have maintained standards of scholarship, have professional merit and have attained academic distinction.
