Claire Watts of Baldwin Wallace University Named to the Spring Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Team

Claire Watts (Medina/Highland High School) is one of four Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis student-athletes to be named to the 2017 Spring Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

In order to be selected as Academic All-OAC a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and maintain varsity status.

Watts, who garners her third Academic All-OAC accolade, is a biology and sustainability double major that carries a 3.69 grade point average (GPA). She is also a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar, a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma honor society and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Scholars Program. Watts, finished the year with a singles record of 13-12 and won a career-best 12 matches in doubles.

BW finished the year with an 8-13 overall record, was 4-4 in conference play and advanced to the OAC quarterfinals.
