Clara Harb earns recognition at Baldwin Wallace University's Ovation Festival 2017

2017 May 15

Clara Harb of Cleveland was among over 50 students recognized at the Honors Awards Ceremony during Baldwin Wallace University's Ovation Festival 2017, BW's annual celebration of student achievement.

Harb, a graduate of Magnificat High School majoring in biology and French, received the Dr. William D. and Mary Pendell Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is presented to a student proficient in the study of French who hopes to study abroad.

In presenting the award, BW recognized Harb for demonstrating excellence and exceptional promise in her major of French, and passion and commitment to pursuing advanced work in language, literature and cultures and study abroad in France.

Now in its 10th year, Ovation has expanded from a single day to a 10-day festival in order to more fully recognize student success in research and scholarship, the arts, experiential learning and leadership, and athletics. The signature event is the Day of Excellence, which features exceptional student work from every school of the University through posters, displays, live presentations and performances. The day concludes with the campus-wide Honors Awards Ceremony that recognizes student achievement with scholarships and awards.
