Dominic Polifrone of Baldwin Wallace University Earns Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Honors

Dominic Polifrone (Stow/Hudson High School) is one of three Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis student-athletes to be named to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

In order to be selected to the Academic All-OAC team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

Polifrone, who earns his second consecutive Academic All-OAC honor, is a pre-physical therapy major who carries a 3.86 grade point average. The junior is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Chi Alpha Sigma honor societies. He is a two-time recipient of the BW Academic Excellence Award for the highest GPA on team and was named as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athlete last year. This season, Polifrone was named the OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Year after compiling an overall singles record of 21-5 and an overall doubles record of 20-6. His 24-3 singles record in 2015 ranks tied for 10th all-time for wins in a season and his 24 double wins in 2015 ranks fifth all-time for doubles wins in a season.
