Dominic Polifrone of Baldwin Wallace University Garners Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athlete Accolade

Dominic Polifrone of Hudson is one one 10 Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis student-athletes to be honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) as a Division III Scholar Athlete.

In order to earn Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a varsity letter winner, with a grade point average of at least 3.50 for the current academic year and have been enrolled at the school for at least two semesters.

Polifrone also was a key factor in the team being recognized by the ITA as a Division III All-Academic Team. BW, who was the lone Ohio Athletic Conference team to be honored, finished the 2015-16 academic year with a team grade point average of 3.82.

The Yellow Jackets finished the 2015-16 season with a record of 24-5 and a second place finish in the OAC with a mark of 7-1.
