Erin Kasper of Baldwin Wallace Earns First Ohio Athleic Conference Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week Honor

Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-American jumper Erin Kasper (Amherst/Marion L. Steele High School) has been named the OAC Field Athlete of the Week.

Kasper won the high jump and finished fourth in the long jump to lead BW to a second place finish at the Goucher (Md.) College Track & Field Classic on Saturday. She earned a career-best leap of 5 feet 7 inches in the high jump which is currently the best mark in the country. In the long jump, Kasper had a season-best mark of 17'0.5''.

In her career, Kasper earned All-OAC honors a season ago with a third place finish and was a national qualifier in the high jump. She also was named a CoSIDA third-team selection. Kasper also earned All-OAC honors in indoors and was All-American as a junior.

BW is back in action on Saturday, April 1 when it travels to Danville, Kentucky for the Centre College Invitational inside Farris Stadium.
