Hannah Montgomery inducted into German Honor Society at Baldwin Wallace University

Hannah Montgomery of Canton was inducted into the Baldwin Wallace University chapter of the National German Honor Society, Delta Phi Alpha (DPA), in the spring 2017 semester. Montgomery, a graduate of Canton McKinley Sr. High School majoring in physics, shared the honor with three other students. To be inducted, students must have at least sophomore standing; be enrolled in a German course beyond the intermediate level; have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0; and have a GPA in German courses of a 3.333 (B+) or better.

Founded in 1929, DPA seeks to recognize excellence in the study of German and to provide an incentive for higher scholarship. The Society aims to promote the study of the German language, literature and civilization, and endeavors to emphasize those aspects of German life and culture which are of universal value and contribute to the eternal search for peace and truth. DPA has 277 chapters throughout the United States.
