Joe Simonis of Baldwin Wallace University Garners Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Accolade

Joe Simonis (Hinckley/Medina Highland ) is one of 28 Baldwin Wallace University fall student-athletles to be named to the 2016 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

In order to be selected as Academic All-OAC a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, be in residence at the school for at least a year and maintain varsity status.

Simonis, who earns his third straight football Academic All-OAC honor as a place kicker, is an international business major that carries a 3.57 grade point average. He is a a Dean's List student. He is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman, Omicron Delta Epsilon and Chi Sigma Alpha honor societies. Simonis was named as the OAC Special Teams Player of the Week on September 13, 2014. He is a Dr. A.B. Bonds Outstanding Special Teams Player Award recipient. Simonis appeared in 31 games and made 13 of 20 field goals and 105 of 122 extra points.
