Kelly Gough of Baldwin Wallace Named All-Great Lakes Region

Baldwin Wallace University sophomore women's soccer defender Kelly Gough of Hudson has been named third-team National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/ Continental Tire Division III All-Great Lakes Region.

Earlier this fall, Gough was named first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference and as the OAC's Defender of the Year. She had an outstanding sophomore season and helped both on offense and defense. Offensively, Gough was second on the team with seven goals and 14 points. On defense, she helped BW to record eight shutouts and allow just 1.18 goals-per-game. Overall, she took 33 shots, including 20 on-goal, and had a team-high four game-winners.

In two seasons, Gough has appeared in 41 of 43 games with 33 starts. She has recorded nine goals, including five game-winning goals, and added three assists for 14 total points. Gough has attempted 61 shots, including 30 on-goal.

BW finished its season 11-9-3 and advanced to the OAC Championship Match. The team started slowly with a 1-5-1 mark and then finished 10-4-2 overall its last 16 matches.
