Lyndsey Marshall receives honors from the Ohio District of Circle K International

Lyndsey Marshall of Warren was among the members of Baldwin Wallace University's Circle K International (CKI) service club who were honored yet again at the 59th annual Ohio District Circle K Convention. For the fifth consecutive year, BW's club received the Daniel J. Romanello Achievement, which is presented to the best Circle K club in Ohio. The award recognizes and honors clubs that have excelled in all aspects of club operation. In addition, BW's Circle K club received a first place Outstanding Scrapbook Award.

Club members were also recognized with individual awards in nearly every category. Awards included first place Andrew Littlefield Outstanding Treasurer Award, first place P.A.C.E. Setter Award, second place Jason Stewart Outstanding Member Award, second place Lanton Lee Outstanding President Award, second place Erin M. Dillon Outstanding New Member Award, second place Kenneth H. Weeks Outstanding Kiwanian Award, and third place Outstanding Club Vice President Award.

Marshall, a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School majoring in mathematics, received the second place Lanton Lee Outstanding President Award. The award is given to the Outstanding President who has fulfilled their duties to the highest capacity and exemplified the word "leader."

CKI is a collegiate service organization focused on service, fellowship, and leadership and is related to Kiwanis and Key Club. With over 13,000 members worldwide, it is the world's largest collegiate service organization. BW's thriving Circle K group is mentored by biology professor Dr. Karen Munroe and director of residence life Robin Gagnow. "It is a great honor to be recognized as the best CKI group in Ohio," said Gagnow. "It demonstrates the type of students we have at BW. Each year, we have new students step up and take the lead to continue our legacy."
