Maddie Russell of Baldwin Wallace University Garners All-Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Honor

Maddie Russell of Lakewood is one of six Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse student-athletes to be selected as All-Ohio Athletic Conference.

Russell, a three-year letterwinner, earns her third All-OAC first-team honor. She led the team with 33 caused turnovers, 64 ground balls and 53 draw controls. Russell also scored 30 goals and added 26 assists for 56 points. She is the BW's all-time leader with 139 caused turnovers, 212 ground balls, 143 draw controls, 181 points, and 114 goals. Russell was named the OAC Defensive Player of the Year and was a second-team Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) second-team All-Great Lakes Region selection a year ago.

BW finished the year with an overall record of 11-7. The Yellow Jackets went 4-3 in the OAC and advanced to the OAC Tournament semifinal game for the third straight season.
