Mamdouh El-Mahdy inducted into elite Baldwin Wallace University Honors Program

Mamdouh El-Mahdy of Strongsville was inducted into the Baldwin Wallace University Honors Program at a pinning ceremony in the spring 2016 semester. El-Mahdy, a graduate of Strongsville Sr. High School majoring in biology, shared the distinction with 20 other students. BW President Robert Helmer and honors program director Dr. Amy Story congratulated the students for their involvement in the program which strives for a distinctive and inspiring learning environment both inside and outside the classroom.

The BW Honors Program helps motivated and talented students make the most of their college experience by joining a community of scholars dedicated to academic excellence, leadership development and community engagement. The goal of the program is to engage the whole student, to connect theoretical ideas to real-world applications and foster independent thinking. Encouraging academic exploration, the honors program can augment any program of study and expand the opportunities available to students.
