Rachel Wilkie earns recognition at Baldwin Wallace University's Ovation Festival 2017

2017 May 15

Rachel Wilkie of Munroe Falls was among over 50 students recognized at the Honors Awards Ceremony during Baldwin Wallace University's Ovation Festival 2017, BW's annual celebration of student achievement.

Wilkie, a graduate of Twinsburg High School majoring in history and English, received the George R. Grame Award. The award was created to honor Dr. George Grame whose dramatic telling of European history amazed and inspired BW students for 33 years. The award is given annually to the junior history major with the highest GPA in history coursework.

Now in its 10th year, Ovation has expanded from a single day to a 10-day festival in order to more fully recognize student success in research and scholarship, the arts, experiential learning and leadership, and athletics. The signature event is the Day of Excellence, which features exceptional student work from every school of the University through posters, displays, live presentations and performances. The day concludes with the campus-wide Honors Awards Ceremony that recognizes student achievement with scholarships and awards.
