Rachel Wilkie inducted into history honor society at Baldwin Wallace University

Rachel Wilkie of Munroe Falls was inducted into the Baldwin Wallace University Delta Upsilon Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society in the spring 2017 semester. Society membership is extended to students who have completed at least 12 credit hours of history courses; have at least a 3.1 GPA in history courses; and have at least a 3.0 GPA in all non-history courses. Wilkie, a graduate of Twinsburg High School majoring in history and English, shared the honor with six other students. Wilkie was also elected chapter vice president for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Phi Alpha Theta, established in 1921, is an American honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history with over 400,000 members and 970 chapters nationwide. The society promotes the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians. Phi Alpha Theta brings students and teachers together for intellectual and social exchanges, which promote and assist historical research and publication by members in a variety of ways.
