2018 Jan 18

Ramona Smith of Lakewood was inducted into the Beta Upsilon Chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda (ASL) Honor Society at Baldwin Wallace University in the fall 2017 semester. Founded in 1946 by Dr. Rollin B. Posey, Dean of University College at Northwestern University, ASL is a national honor society recognizing academically outstanding adult students in higher education. ASL's motto is "First in Scholarship and Leadership" and recognizes the special achievements of adults who accomplish academic excellence while facing the competing interests of home and work. BW's Beta Upsilon Chapter was established in 1981 and is one of over 300 chapters nationwide.
