Sean Burnham honored at Baldwin Wallace University's Student Life and Leadership Awards

2017 May 1

Sean Burnham of Hudson was honored at the Student Life and Leadership Awards ceremony at Baldwin Wallace University during the spring 2017 semester. Burnham, a graduate of Hudson High School majoring in music education, received the Outstanding New Member Award. The award recognizes the sorority and fraternity new members who have become extraordinarily involved in the fraternity and sorority community and the campus community. Such involvement is reflected in contributions made to the community and to others as a leader and a role model. A nomination for this award reflects the respect gained from the members in the chapter and should be recognized as an achievement in itself. Burnham is a member of Pi Lambda Phi.

The annual ceremony celebrates student leaders, faculty and staff advisers, organizations and programs that have made an impact on the BW community and beyond. BW students have the opportunity to join over 100 student clubs, professional organizations and honor societies, ranging from community service and political action groups to fraternities and sororities. The University encourages students to participate in a variety of groups to foster leadership skills such as communication, teamwork and problem solving. Students are also encouraged to engage in service opportunities at the local, national and international levels through one-time and weekly service projects, alternative break service trips and international service experiences.
