2014 Mar 24

Cassandra Dwyer of Lancaster is among the talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University that will present THE PRIME OF MISS JEAN BRODIE, a tale of power, scandal and betrayal at an Edinburgh school for girls. Directed by Jack B. Winget, the production runs April 9-13 in the William Allman Theater, Kleist Center for Arts & Drama, 95 East Bagley Road, Berea.

Adapted from the novel by Muriel Spark, THE PRIME OF MISS JEAN BRODIE follows a liberated young schoolteacher and her star pupils at a Highlands all-girls school. Dwyer plays a School Girl and is understudy for the role of Mary in the production.

Audiences also will enjoy the distinctive experience of alley stage seating and the added spectacle of high energy Scottish dancing between acts. The alley stage allows for audience members to sit facing each other with the stage in-between.
