Vanessa Adu-Gyamfi inducted into International Studies Honor Society at Baldwin Wallace University

Vanessa Adu-Gyamfi of Accra was inducted into the Alpha Mu Chapter of Sigma Iota Rho (SIR), Honor Society for International Studies at Baldwin Wallace University in the spring 2016 semester. Adu-Gyamfi, a graduate of Wesley Girls' High School majoring in economics and international studies with a focus on international affairs, shared the honor with eight other students. Society membership is extended to international studies majors and minors with sophomore standing or higher; four courses from International Studies major or minor requirements, with a GPA of 3.2 or better; an overall GPA of 3.2 or better; and at least one course at the 300 or 400 level.

Founded in 1984, the purpose of SIR is to promote and reward scholarship and service among students and practitioners of international studies, international affairs, and global studies and to foster integrity and creative performance in the conduct of world affairs.
