Vanessa Adu-Gyamfi's exceptional work showcased at Baldwin Wallace University's Ovation Festival 2017

2017 Jun 6

Vanessa Adu-Gyamfi of Accra was among over 180 students whose exceptional academic work was showcased during Baldwin Wallace University's Ovation Festival 2017. Adu-Gyamfi, a graduate of Wesley Girls' High School, gave an oral presentation titled "2016-2017 Brain Fellowship" and presented a poster titled "A Comparative Analysis: The Impact of Globalization on Income Inequality."

Now in its 10th year, Ovation is a 10-day festival that recognizes student success in research and scholarship, the arts, experiential learning and leadership, and athletics. The signature event is the Day of Excellence, which features exceptional student achievements from every school of the University. Students demonstrate their achievements by performing original musical compositions or short plays; reading original essays, stories or poems; giving video or slide presentations; exhibiting artwork; or presenting research posters. To participate in the Day of Excellence, students must complete the submission process, and have a faculty mentor who sponsors their work and gives final approval to present.
