Zachary Barley of Hudson Recognized at Baldwin Wallace University Ovation Awards

Zachary Barley of Hudson was recognized at Baldwin Wallace University's "Ovation 2014," the University's premier capstone celebration of student achievement. The annual event spotlights the outstanding creativity, research and academic and artistic achievement of BW students with displays, live presentations, performances and more.

At the traditional Honors Award Ceremony which caps off the day, Barley received the Vogel Psychology Scholarship which is given to a student majoring in psychology who has demonstrated a true dedication to the study of psychology. In presenting the award, BW recognized Barley's outstanding 3.895 GPA and active membership in Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psycology, Nu Rho Psi National Honor Society in Neuroscience; Pi Gamma Mu, International Honor Society in Social Sciences; Alpha Lambda Delta, and the Dayton C. Miller Honor Society. He also was a member of the varsity football team, earning three varsity letters, two Lee J. Tressel academic Awards for the scholar-athletes, and two Academic All-Ohio Conference and Capital One Academic All-District 7 accolades. Barley also held competitive internships at the Cleveland Foundation and South General Medical Center and plans to complete a doctorate in Sports Psychology
