Baldwin Wallace's Ovation 2021 Day of Excellence was held as a virtual event this year, but the student success highlighted throughout the day was no less stellar than in the past.

Each spring 10 select seniors are invited to perform at the Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music Senior Honors Celebration. These extraordinary students and the faculty who introduce them share a glimpse of the outstanding scholarship, artistry and spirit that is so abundant throughout the Conservatory learning community. The Women for BW Legacy Award supports women with financial need working toward their graduate or undergraduate degree at Baldwin Wallace University. The Legacy Award honors the history of the Baldwin Wallace Women's Club, established in 1921. For nearly a century, alumnae and friends from throughout the BW community gathered, in the spirit of philanthropy, to generate funds to help female students in need.

Ovation Festival, BW's annual celebration of student achievement, showcased student success in research, scholarship, experiential learning, the arts and more. The signature event of the festival was the Day of Excellence, which featured student work from every school of the University through posters, displays, live presentations and performances. The day concluded with the Honors Award Ceremony that recognized students with scholarships and awards.

BW celebrates outstanding multicultural students each spring at the Obie Bender Multicultural Awards ceremony. The awards are named for Dr. Obie Bender '62, who was an officer of the University for 36 years. Throughout his tenure Bender provided exceptional leadership as a BW administrative liaison and was responsible for intercollegiate athletics, campus security, and the health and physical education and recreation facilities.

BW's premier celebration of student success, "Ovation 2015: Unleashed Potential," spotlighted the outstanding creativity, research, and academic and artistic achievements of BW students. At the Honors Award Ceremony that caps off the event, over 100 students were recognized with awards and scholarships.

Five students and two faculty members involved with BW's radio station, WBWC 88.3FM "The Sting," were Silver Microphone award winners in the 2015 Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) Awards.
