Thirty students participated in BW's faculty-led study abroad program in the renowned historical site of athletic grit and glory - Greece - during the summer semester. Led by BW associate professor Dr. Andi Lyons and coaches Jamie Gibbs and Kate Latkovic, student-athletes from the men's wrestling and women's volleyball teams traveled to Greece to train, compete and explore the birthplace of the Olympics while diving into global sports management.

Students earn Dr. Obie Bender Multicultural Awards at Baldwin Wallace University

BW celebrates outstanding multicultural students each spring with the Dr. Obie Bender Multicultural Awards. The awards honor and affirm the contributions of underrepresented members of the BW community as well as those who contribute to the overall spirit of inclusion. The awards are named for Dr. Obie Bender '62, who was an officer of the University for 36 years. Throughout his tenure, Bender provided exceptional leadership as a BW administrative liaison and was responsible for intercollegiate athletics, campus security and the health and physical education and recreation facilities.

BW's 24th Annual Dance Marathon raises funds to fight pediatric AIDS

Fifty-six students raised over $3,000 at the 24th Annual Dance Marathon at Baldwin Wallace University. Dance Marathon is the largest philanthropy organization on campus, raising funds for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Lasting nine hours, this year's event featured performers, service projects, vendors, raffles, dancing and educational sessions on AIDS/HIV.
