BW celebrates outstanding multicultural students each spring with the Dr. Obie Bender Multicultural Awards. The awards honor and affirm the contributions of underrepresented members of the BW community as well as those who contribute to the overall spirit of inclusion. The awards are named for Dr. Obie Bender '62, who was an officer of the University for 36 years. Throughout his tenure, Bender provided exceptional leadership as a BW administrative liaison and was responsible for intercollegiate athletics, campus security and the health and physical education and recreation facilities.

Baldwin Wallace University senior women's cross country and track and field All-American distance runner Hope Murphy (Mogadore) has been named as a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Track and Field and Cross Country Academic All-Americans for a remarkable third time.

Fifty-six students raised over $3,000 at the 24th Annual Dance Marathon at Baldwin Wallace University. Dance Marathon is the largest philanthropy organization on campus, raising funds for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Lasting nine hours, this year's event featured performers, service projects, vendors, raffles, dancing and educational sessions on AIDS/HIV.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2025 semester at Baldwin Wallace University, according to Interim Provost Linda Chase. The Dean's List recognizes students who earn a grade point average of 3.8 or higher while enrolled in 12 or more graded hours during the semester.

The Baldwin Wallace University Honors Program officially inducted 68 students during the spring 2025 semester. The program strives to create a learning environment, both inside and outside the classroom, that engages the whole student, connects theoretical ideas to real-world applications, fosters independent thinking, and brings students together into a community of scholars.

Eleven students achieved membership in Baldwin Wallace University's Upsilon of Ohio Chapter of Alpha Kappa Delta, the International Sociology Honor Society, in the spring 2025 semester.

Ten students achieved membership in BW's Epsilon of Ohio Chapter of Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society in Social Sciences in the spring 2025 semester.

Ten students achieved membership in Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, in the spring 2025 semester.

Eleven students achieved membership in Kappa Mu Epsilon, National Mathematics Honor Society, in the spring 2025 semester. Society membership is extended to students who have completed three semesters of college, taken three courses in mathematics, including at least one in calculus, have a minimum 3.0 GPA in mathematics, and rank in the upper 35% of their class.

Six students achieved membership in the BW Delta Upsilon Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society in the spring 2025 semester.
