The White Rose Ceremony is held annually in memory of Philura Gould Baldwin, BW's first librarian and granddaughter of BW founder John Baldwin. An oration is given, and select female graduates carry white roses in memory of Philura, whose life was cut short by consumption at age 26. While no criteria must be met, each woman must have distinguished herself by making a difference in the BW community.

Baldwin Wallace University sophomore outfielder Sam Peterkoski (Berea/Berea-Midpark) has been named the Co-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Player of the Year, highlighting an impressive season for the Yellow Jackets. Veteran head coach Tom Spencer and his staff were honored as the OAC Coaching Staff of the Year, and a total of eight BW student-athletes received All-OAC accolades.
