Six Baldwin Wallace University women's wrestling student-athletes have been recognized by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) as Scholar All-Americans.

Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets Rugby graduate student-athlete, Molly Cancian is one of 12 athletes named to the Rising Stars National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) All-Star All-Tournament Team in Atlanta, Georgia. The Division III players are amongst the best in the country. Cancian represented the Ohio Valley Women's Collegiate Rugby Conference All-Star Team January 25th-26th at Silverbacks Stadium. This is Cancian's third time being selected to the All-Tournament Team. Cancian led the Cardinals in try scoring, earning 25 points (5 tries) for her team over the weekend. Cancian, also a three-time NCR All-American was selected along with the 11 other athletes to the All-Tournament Team by NCR's High Performance Program Coaches.

Five Baldwin Wallace Women's Rugby student-athletes were chosen to represent the Ohio Valley Women's Collegiate Rugby Conference (OVWCRC) Select Side Cardinals All-Star Team. Payton Aston, Molly Cancian, Maggie Moc, Allison Morgan, and Ava Wadley, along with BW Head Coach, Green were selected to the All-Star Team, made up of players and coaches from Ohio and Indiana, representing universities that compete in the OVWCRC. They traveled to Atlanta, Georgia January 25th-26th to compete in the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Women's 7's National Cup All-Star Tournament. The annual tournament took place at Silverbacks Park and hosted the best college rugby players in the United States while providing the five BW all-star players the opportunity to continue to hone their skills before the start of Baldwin Wallace's spring 7's rugby season.

Three Baldwin Wallace Men's Rugby student-athletes were chosen to represent the Great Lakes Select Side Thunderbirds All-Star Team. Marc Davis, Jace Lander, and Maximillian St. George were selected to the All-Star Team, made up of players and coaches from the Great Lakes Region, representing universities across Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. They traveled to Atlanta, Georgia January 17th-19th to compete in the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Men's National Cup All-Star Tournament. The annual tournament took place at Silverbacks Park and hosted the best college rugby players in the United States while providing the three BW all-star players the opportunity to continue to hone their skills before the start of Baldwin Wallace's spring 7's rugby season.

Baldwin Wallace Women's Rugby student-athlete, Molly Cancian of Brunswick has been named a 2024 National Collegiate Rugby All-American making this her third All-American honor of her career. Cancian, a first year Leadership in Higher Education Graduate Student holding internships in BW's LGBTQ+ Services and LaunchNET Entrepreneurship offices is a leader for the Yellow Jackets on and off the pitch. Best known for her speed and agility, Cancian has strong defensive skills in tackling and rucking. The Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jacets team finished as the Ohio Valley Women's Collegiate Rugby Conference Champions for the fourth year in a row. National Collegiate Rugby made selections from a pool of over 7,000 players and 285 clubs across the nation, to identify the top college rugby players representing the 2024 All-Americans with 69 players from 40 schools making up three divisional teams recieving All-American honors. The three lists include 23-women teams from each Division. Cancian is among 23 National Collegiate Rugby Division III student-athletes selected to the All-American class of 2024 based on her rugby performance.

The eight BW student-athletes represent a selective group of Scholastic All-Americans representing approximately 1 out of 18 student-athletes competing in college rugby. The BW Men's Rugby team also has eight student-athletes earning this honor.

Baldwin Wallace University men's wrestling senior All-American and No. 1 nationally ranked 157-pounder Michael Petrella (Reynoldsburg/Bishop Hartley) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Wrestler of the Week for the second straight week and for the fifth time this season.

The annual tournament took place at Round Rock Sports Complex and hosted the best college rugby players in the United States while providing the two BW all-star players the opportunity to continue to hone their skills before the start of Baldwin Wallace's spring 7's rugby season.

Baldwin Wallace Women's Rugby Student-Athlete, Molly Cancian has been named a 2023 National Collegiate Rugby All-American making this her second All-American honor of her career. Cancian, a senior English major outside center stepped into the 8-man position for the Yellow Jackets when her coach needed her to shift for the team. Best known for her speed and agility, Cancian showed her defensive skills in tackling and rucking this past season. National Collegiate Rugby made selections from a pool of 6,000 players and 240 clubs across the nation, to identify the top college rugby players representing 32 teams and 20 conferences for the honor of All-American. The three lists include 23-women teams from each Division. Cancian is among 23 Small College Division student-athletes selected to the All-American class of 2023 based on her performance in the Fall 2023 15's Season.

Baldwin Wallace Men's Rugby student-athletes, Maxwell Leezer, Joe McDonald and Warner Sanker were named to the 2023 Allegheny Rugby Union (ARU) All-Conference Team. The student-athletes were nominated and voted on by ARU Coaches and Commissioners. They represent BW as part of the roster of 23 players from the conference. Baldwin Wallace Men's Rugby is looking for a strong start to the Spring 2024 Season with training already underway. Their growth and development as a team were led by veteran players, Bryan Cundiff, Sanker, McDonald, and Leezer. The Yellow Jackets are coached by veteran head coach, Jared Crist in his 4th season as head coach at BW. Crist started his coaching career at BW as an assistant coach in 2018.

Of the 8 BW Scholastic All-Americans, Rowe is a repeat selection. 760 total NCR student athletes from men's and women's teams earned Scholastic All-American honors with 148 colleges represented. Baldwin Wallace Men's Rugby competes in the Allegheny Rugby Union Conference.

To qualify as an NCR Scholastic All-American, student athletes must maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher for the academic year and be rostered 50% of the Fall 15's varsity matches or rostered 50% of the varsity Spring 7's tournaments. 760 total NCR student athletes earned Scholastic All-American honors with 148 colleges represented, 1 in 20 student athletes competing in college rugby were recognized and 123 maintained a 4.0 GPA for the full academic year.

Forty-three students raised over $5,500 in the 22nd Annual Dance Marathon at Baldwin Wallace University. Dance Marathon is the largest philanthropy organization on campus. Lasting nine hours, the marathon consists of performers, dance and HIV/AIDS education. All proceeds are donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, which seeks to educate and reduce the transmission and cases of pediatric AIDS worldwide.

Molly Cancian, a junior English major from Brunswick, Ohio (Brunswick, Valkyries) was named a 2022 National Collegiate Rugby Women's All-American. Cancian, a fullback/outside center for the Yellow Jackets was selected as an All-American in the Small College Division based on performance in the fall15's season. National Collegiate Rugby announced its 2022 Women's All-American class, with 69 players representing 34 colleges from 17 states on February 6, 2023. NCR expanded to three women's divisions last fall, naming 23 All-Americans per group. Cancian is among 23 Small College Division student-athletes selected to the All-American class of 2022.

Four Baldwin Wallace Women's Rugby Student-Athletes were selected to the Ohio Valley Women's Collegiate Rugby Conference All-Conference Team. Junior, Molly Cancian, sophomore, Angelina Esposito, junior, Abigail Kessler, and senior, Brittney Webb were chosen to the OVWCRC All-Conference Team comprised of 21 players from Ohio and Indiana teams. The four standout BW players were selected to the OVWCRC All-Conference Team based on their performance in the fall 2022 15's season. Conference coaches nominate and vote on the All-Conference selections. Baldwin Wallace Head Coach, Vanessa Marsh was honored with the OVWCRC Coach of the Year recognition by the Ohio Valley Conference. Marsh, in her first year coaching the Yellow Jackets, led BW to a first-place finish in the Ohio Valley Conference, 4th in the Midwest Region, and 14th in the nation in the National Collegiate Rugby Small College Division.

Baldwin Wallace Men's Rugby student-athletes, Deion Farmer (Forward) and Tyler Rowe (Back) were named to the 2022 Allegheny Rugby Union (ARU) All-Conference Team. Farmer and Rowe were nominated and voted on by ARU Coaches and Commissioners. They represent BW as part of the roster of 20 players from the conference. Baldwin Wallace Men's Rugby finished their Fall 15's Season with a record of 4-1. Their growth and development as a team was lead by Farmer at and Rowe at Scrumhalf. A group of 25 students, staff and community members raised over $3,000 in the 20th Annual Dance Marathon at Baldwin Wallace University. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the typical 12-hour marathon was done in virtual mini-marathons. The BW men's and women's intercollegiate racquetball teams are the best in the country. Ohio Racquetball Association Hall of Fame Head Coach Tim Miller and his teams have proven it over and over. Once again this year, Miller and the Yellow Jackets captured USA Racquetball national titles.
