Four Baldwin Wallace University women's track and field student-athletes have been honored with United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors.

Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference, Academic All-OAC and College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-American thrower Ted Achladis (Avon Lake/Elyria Catholic) has garnered United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Honors for the fourth straight season.

Baldwin Wallace University All-American, Academic All-American, All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC cross country and track and field distance runner Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) has been selected for the 2020 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Woman of the Year Award.

Baldwin Wallace University congratulates our spring 2020 graduates. The following students completed all requirements for an undergraduate and/or graduate degree. While Baldwin Wallace University's 170th Commencement ceremony has been postponed due to the pandemic, the University recognized the achievements of graduate and undergraduate students via a virtual "conferring of degrees" ceremony that was live-streamed from Gamble Auditorium on Saturday, May 9.

Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC wrestler Stanley Bleich (North Ridgeville/Elyria Catholic) and senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC women's lacrosse defender Hannah Stein (Medina/Highland) have been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Division III At-Large Academic All-American team.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2020 semester at Baldwin Wallace University according to BW Provost Stephen D. Stahl. Any full-time student who achieves a GPA of at least 3.6 for 12 or more graded hours or part-time student who achieves a GPA of at least 3.6 for six or more graded hours in the fall or spring semester will be placed on the Dean's List.

Two students achieved membership in Baldwin Wallace University's Upsilon of Ohio Chapter of Alpha Kappa Delta, the International Sociology Honor Society, in the spring 2020 semester.

Students at Baldwin Wallace University elected their 108th student body president and vice president during the spring semester. The winning pair of president Arundhati Gupta of New Delhi, India, and vice president Clare Helmer of Berea, Ohio, officially took office during the spring 2020 semester.

Each spring 10 select seniors are invited to perform at the Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music Senior Honors Celebration. Thirteen students achieved membership in BW's Epsilon of Ohio Chapter of Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society in Social Sciences in the spring 2020 semester.

Eighteen students achieved membership in Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, in the spring 2020 semester.

Twelve students achieved membership in the BW Delta Upsilon Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society in the spring 2020 semester.

Seven students achieved membership in Baldwin Wallace University's Delta Phi chapter of the Delta Alpha Pi International Honor Society in the spring 2020 semester. Delta Alpha Pi is an academic honor society founded to recognize high-achieving students with disabilities who are attending colleges and universities as undergraduate or graduate students. This dynamic organization celebrates and supports academic achievement, leadership and advocacy for post-secondary students with disabilities.

Over 30 students achieved membership in the Baldwin Wallace University Business Honor Society in the spring 2020 semester. The society encourages and supports a deep network of personal and professional contact through ongoing communication and special invitations to campus events.

Seventeen Baldwin Wallace University students were inducted into the BW Beta Upsilon Chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda (ASL) Honor Society in the spring 2020 semester. ASL is a premier national honor society recognizing academically outstanding adult students in higher education. Members are selected from the highest 20% of eligible adult students who have a minimum 3.2 GPA, 24 graded hours at BW and are enrolled in their first undergraduate degree program.

The Baldwin Wallace University Center for Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement is pleased to announce a new class of BW Student Ambassadors, a student organization that fosters relationships between BW alumni and the University.

The Women for BW Legacy Award supports women with financial need working toward their graduate or undergraduate degree at Baldwin Wallace University. The Legacy Award honors the history of the Baldwin Wallace Women's Club, established in 1921. For nearly a century, alumnae and friends from throughout the BW community gathered, in the spirit of philanthropy, to generate funds to help female students in need.

Twenty-nine outstanding student writers and artists at Baldwin Wallace University are featured in the 2020 edition of BW's annual literary and art journal, The Mill. The student-directed and student-operated publication showcases the creative achievements of students from across campus disciplines.

Each spring, Baldwin Wallace University recognizes student achievement with a variety of scholarships and awards for academics, athletics, service and leadership.

The 2020 Student Life and Leadership Awards recognized the accomplishments of student leaders, faculty and staff advisers, organizations and programs that have made an impact on the BW community and beyond.

BW celebrates outstanding multicultural students each spring with the Obie Bender Multicultural Awards. The awards honor and affirm the contributions of underrepresented members of the BW community as well as those who contribute to the overall spirit of inclusion. The awards are named for Dr. Obie Bender '62, who was an officer of the University for 36 years. Throughout his tenure, Bender provided exceptional leadership as a BW administrative liaison and was responsible for intercollegiate athletics, campus security and the health and physical education and recreation facilities.

The Baldwin Wallace University Athletic Department has announced its Clyde Lamb Award winners. The Clyde A. Lamb Awards are presented annually to 10 male and 10 female student-athletes from each of the Ohio Athletic Conference institutions. Criteria for the award includes at least two years participation in an OAC-sponsored sport, senior status, a minimum GPA of 3.00 and sportsmanlike conduct in a manner that has brought credit to the student-athlete and his or her institution.

Three Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis student-athletes have been chosen to the 2020 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team. In order to be selected to the Academic All-OAC team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA. Junior Emma Hubbard (Ortonville, Mich./Brandon), junior Becca Liebler (Medina) and junior All-OAC selection Ashtyn Morris (Salem) are three of the 45 Yellow Jacket student-athletes to be recognized this spring.

Senior Jake Elbin (Findlay) of the Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team is one of 45 student-athletes that was selected to the 2020 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team. In order to be selected to the Academic All-OAC team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
