Four Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis student-athletes have been honored with Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athlete honors.

The Women for BW Legacy Award supports women with financial need working toward their graduate or undergraduate degree at Baldwin Wallace University. The Legacy Award honors the history of the Baldwin Wallace Women's Club, established in 1921. For nearly a century, alumnae and friends from throughout the BW community gathered, in the spirit of philanthropy, to generate funds to help female students in need.

Baldwin Wallace University and Playhouse Square co-produced "BARS (Beatboxing, Acting, Rapping, Singing)" during the spring 2021 semester. The hip-hop, music theatre-based improv show, conceived by BW music theatre alumnus Jay Ellis "JEllis," was an innovative production combining the classic music theatre artform with contemporary skills in beatboxing and rapping.

BW celebrates outstanding multicultural students each spring with the Obie Bender Multicultural Awards. The awards honor and affirm the contributions of underrepresented members of the BW community as well as those who contribute to the overall spirit of inclusion. The awards are named for Dr. Obie Bender '62, who was an officer of the University for 36 years. Throughout his tenure, Bender provided exceptional leadership as a BW administrative liaison and was responsible for intercollegiate athletics, campus security and the health and physical education and recreation facilities.

This spring, the BW theatre and dance community presented "fyoo zh en '21: Floodcity." The annual dance concert fuses choreography with faculty research. This year's concert was inspired by geologist Dr. Carrie Davis Todd's research on the 1889 Johnstown, Pennsylvania, flood. The production used movement to explore the neglect of the South Fork dam belonging to wealthy members of an elite country club and the devastation and impact that followed its failure.

Baldwin Wallace University sophomore Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference third baseman Chris Viamonte (Naples, Fla./Lely) has been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings NCAA Division III Gold Glove Team for the first time in his career.

A select group of spring 2021 Baldwin Wallace University graduates have gone above and beyond their degree requirements to complete BW's challenging and rewarding Honors program. A total of 22 students completed the program requirements in May 2021 out of more than 500 undergraduates who completed their degrees. The motivated students made the most of their college experience by joining a community of scholars dedicated to academic excellence, leadership development and community engagement, developing the whole student along the way. Interdisciplinary and experiential, the BW honors program offers students unique, seminar-style courses that encourage academic exploration and independent thinking as well as countless opportunities to grow as campus leaders.

Baldwin Wallace University junior two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference center Jivan Meguerditchian (Avon Lake/St. Ignatius) has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 7 first-team team for the first time in his career.

The Baldwin Wallace University Center for Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement is pleased to announce a new class of BW Student Ambassadors, a student organization that fosters relationships between BW alumni and the University.

The White Rose Ceremony is held annually in memory of Philura Gould Baldwin, granddaughter of BW founder John Baldwin and BW's first librarian. An oration is given, and select female graduates carry white roses in memory of Philura, whose life was cut short by consumption at age 26. While no criteria must be met, each woman must have distinguished herself by making a difference in the BW community.

152 Baldwin Wallace University student-athletes have been named to the 2021 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2021 semester at Baldwin Wallace University according to BW Provost Stephen D. Stahl. Any full-time student who achieves a GPA of at least 3.6 for 12 or more graded hours or part-time student who achieves a GPA of at least 3.6 for six or more graded hours in the fall or spring semester will be placed on the Dean's List.

Baldwin Wallace's Ovation 2021 Day of Excellence was held as a virtual event this year, but the student achievements highlighted throughout the day were no less stellar than in the past.

Seven Baldwin Wallace University baseball players have been selected to the All-Ohio Athletic Conference Team.

A group of 25 students, staff and community members raised over $3,000 in the 20th Annual Dance Marathon at Baldwin Wallace University. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the typical 12-hour marathon was done in virtual mini-marathons. All proceeds are donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, which seeks to educate and reduce the transmission and cases of pediatric AIDS worldwide.

The 2021 Student Life and Leadership Awards recognized the accomplishments of student leaders, faculty and staff advisers, organizations and programs that have made an impact on the BW community and beyond.

Three Baldwin Wallace University women's outdoor track and field student-athletes will continue their season at the 2021 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Four Baldwin Wallace University women's outdoor track and field student-athletes have combined for a total of seven U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Great Lakes Region honors.

Baldwin Wallace University and Beck Center for the Arts co-produced "5 New Musicals X 15 Minutes" in their tenth collaboration. The production was done in the form of virtual world premieres of five 15-minute brand new musicals, chosen by National Alliance for Musical Theatre.

Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis senior Michael Benotti (Pittsford, N.Y./Mendon) and sophomore Anthony Tosatto (Creston/Norwayne) have been named to the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Team.

For the second time in her illustrious career, Baldwin Wallace University junior right handed pitcher Nikki Camarati (Brunswick/Holy Name) has been named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Year to lead four BW players on the All-OAC team.

Baldwin Wallace University All-Ohio Athletic Conference right handed pitcher Nikki Camarati (Brunswick/Holy Name) has been selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Central Region first-team.

Baldwin Wallace University Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Trey Keeley and freshman attacker Jake Nanosky (Medina) have been named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Coach of the Year and the Rookie of the Year to lead an OAC-best 11 BW players on the All-OAC squad.

Following her performance at the 2021 Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships, Baldwin Wallace University junior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC distance runner Alyssa Laughner (Howard, Pa./Central Mountain) has been named the OAC Women's Outdoor Distance Athlete of the Year, as voted on by the league's coaches.

The Baldwin Wallace University Department of Athletics has announced its Clyde Lamb Award winners. The Clyde A. Lamb Awards are presented annually to 10 male and 10 female student-athletes from each of the Ohio Athletic Conference institutions. Criteria for the award includes at least two years participation in an OAC-sponsored sport, senior status, a minimum GPA of 3.00 and sportsmanlike conduct in a manner that has brought credit to the student-athlete and his or her institution.
