The Baldwin Wallace University Honors Program has officially inducted 18 rising sophomores at a pinning ceremony. The Honors Program strives for a learning environment inside and outside the classroom that engages the whole student, seeks to connect theoretical ideas to real world applications, fosters independent thinking, and brings students together into a community of scholars. These aims are achieved through student-directed research, service to the community, and leadership development.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the Spring Semester 2014 at Baldwin Wallace University according to Stephen D. Stahl, Provost. Students who receive at least a 3.6 GPA for seven or more graded hours in a single semester are named to the Dean's List.

Baldwin Wallace University senior third baseman Brad Gugliotta has been selected as a third-team CAPITAL ONE Division III Academic All-American.

Baldwin Wallace University senior men's golfer Stephen Spalding (Stow/Walsh/Jesuit) has been selected to the 2014 CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 At-Large team. Spalding now qualifies for the CAPITAL ONE National Academic All-America ballot for NCAA Division III.

A Baldwin Wallace University May 2014 graduate and rising senior are the winners of the prestigious Charles J. Stilwell Scholarship. The $4,000 scholarship, administered by the Cleveland Foundation's Fenn Educational Fund (Fenn), recognizes outstanding performance in an internship.

Five graduating seniors successfully nominated high school teachers for special recognition. Teachers who engaged, inspired and encouraged the recent BW grads, while preparing them for college, were recognized with the James Thomas High School Teacher Award. A talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University will present THE PRIME OF MISS JEAN BRODIE, a tale of power, scandal and betrayal at a Highlands school for girls. Directed by Jack B. Winget, the production runs April 9-13 in the William Allman Theater, Kleist Center for Arts & Drama, 95 East Bagley Road, Berea. Audiences will enjoy the distinctive experience of alley stage seating and the added spectacle of high energy Scottish dancing between acts.

The distinctive dance production at Baldwin Wallace University, dubbed "fyoo zh en '14: new music & dance" will feature a "fusion" (fyoo zh en) of completely original movement and music March 20-23. The annual event pairs ten student choreographers with ten student composers, and features more than 30 BW student dancers.
