As part of BWs Alternative Break service program, a group of 11 students traveled to San Antonio over Winter Break 2015. They took part in a variety of activities exploring issues of hunger and food insecurity in a diverse community including immigrant families and veterans. The Alternative Break experience at BW provides students with opportunities to make a difference, travel to another area, learn new skills and meet people with similar interests.

Baldwin Wallace University senior two-time indoor All-American Melanie Winters (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) has been selected as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Women's Track and Field National Athlete of the Week for her efforts at the season opening OAC North Split Meet hosted by the University of Mount Union in the Peterson Fieldhouse.

Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference jumper Erin Kasper (Amherst/Marion Steele) has been named the OAC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for her efforts at the season opening OAC North Split Meet hosted by the University of Mount Union in the Peterson Fieldhouse.

Baldwin Wallace University senior two-time Division III All-American and NWCA Scholar All-American Jesse Gunter (Akron/ Coventry), ranked No. 3 at 133 pounds in Division III, is this week's Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week. He earned the award for the second time this season and fourth time in his career.

A talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University staged "All Shook Up" during the fall 2015 semester. Directed by Scott Spence, the show combined the legendary music of Elvis Presley with a rollicking and funny book by Broadway veteran Joe DePietro. "All Shook Up" was one of an extensive number of opportunities offered by the Baldwin Wallace music theatre program providing students with real-world performance experience.

Baldwin Wallace University Division III All-American 174-pounder Garrett Chase (Erie, Pa./ Cathedral Prep) is this week's Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the third time in his career. Chase, who is ranked No. 8 in Div. III, had a perfect 4-0 record, including a win versus one nationally-ranked opponent, at the NWCA Multi-Divisional National Duals in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He twice won the OAC Wrestler of the Week award as a junior in 2014-2015.

Baldwin Wallace University senior two-time Division III All-American 133-pound wrestler Jesse Gunter (Akron/ Coventry) is this week's Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week. It is the third time he has earned the OAC Wrestler of the Week award during his outstanding four-year career.

Baldwin Wallace University senior designated hitter Hunter Handel (Akron/ Green) has been selected as to the 2016 D3baseball.com Preseason All-America team as an honorable mention selection.

Eleven Baldwin Wallace University students were inducted into the Beta Upsilon Chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda (ASL) Honor Society in the Fall 2015 semester. ASL is a premier national honor society recognizing academically outstanding adult students in higher education. Members are selected from the highest 20 percent of eligible adult students who have a minimum 3.2 GPA, 24 graded hours at BW and are matriculated in their first undergraduate degree program.

As part of BW's Alternative Break program, a group of 11 students traveled to Detroit over Thanksgiving break. They worked with CASS Community Social Services where they prepared a Thanksgiving meal for a local community and explored CASS's Environmental Sustainability initiatives. The students also enjoyed some of Detroit's cultural assets including the Eastern Market, the Motown Museum and the Heidelberg Project.

Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference women's soccer defender Kelly Gough (Hudson) has been named to the 2015 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III Women's All-Great Lakes Region Second Team.

16 Baldwin Wallace University fall sports student-athletes have been named to the 2015 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the Summer Semester 2015 at Baldwin Wallace University according to Stephen D. Stahl, Provost. Students who receive at least a 3.6 GPA for seven or more graded hours in a single semester are named to the Dean's List.

Seven student-athletes from the 2015 Baldwin Wallace University football team were named to the 2015 All-Ohio Athletic Conference team by the OAC football coaches. The Yellow Jackets had their 47th winning season (plus two .500 seasons) in the last 51 years with a 7-3 overall record and tied for second place in the OAC Standings with a 7-2 mark.

Baldwin Wallace University sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference guard Cam Kuhn (Vermilion) has been selected to the D3hoops.com Scoutware National Team-of-the-Week as well as being named as the OAC Men's Basketball Player-of-the-Week for his 82-point and 10-rebound performance in two games last week.

Over one hundred students achieved membership in Alpha Lambda Delta (ALD) National Honor Society for First-Year Students in the fall 2015 semester. ALD is an honor society for full-time students who achieved a 3.5 GPA or higher and are in the top 20 percent of their class during their first year of higher education.

A talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University staged "The Two Noble Kinsmen" during the 2015 fall semester. The play, a tragicomedy co-written by William Shakespeare and John Fletcher is based on Chaucer's "A Knight's Tale" and draws elements from the relationship between Venus and Mars. Directed by Adam Heffernan, "The Two Noble Kinsmen" delivers the last words Shakespeare ever wrote for theater.

BEREA, Ohio--Senior four-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference diver Maddie Fortune (Akron/Firestone) of the Baldwin Wallace University swimming and diving team has been selected as the OAC Diver-of-the-Week.

The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer senior goalkeeper Zach Haynes of Medina earned his first All-Ohio Athletic Conference honorable mention.

A talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University staged "Angels In America, Part One: Millennium Approaches" during the 2015 fall semester. The play, written by Tony Kushner, has won numerous honors as well as being hailed as "one of the most important pieces of theatre to come out of the 20th century." Under Scott Plate's direction, Rave and Pan called several moments "emotionally shattering" and noted that the production "shows that it ain't just the singers who are the stars in Berea.

The Yellow Jacket community was abuzz with excitement during Baldwin Wallace University's Homecoming Weekend. Festivities included a pep rally, parade, tailgate picnic, dance, alumni reunions and a Yellow Jacket football 38-0 victory over the Marietta College Pioneers. The Jacket Prince and Princess were crowned during the pep rally and the King and Queen were crowned at halftime.
