Dance Marathon is the largest philanthropy organization on campus. Lasting 12 hours, the marathon consists of performers, dance and education about HIV/AIDS. All proceeds were donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, which seeks to educate and reduce the the transmission and cases of pediatric AIDS worldwide.

Baldwin Wallace University and All-Ohio Athletic Conference senior shortstop Mark Zimmerman (Akron / Green) earned his third career OAC Hitter-of-the-Week honor for his strong performances last week.

Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC standout Peter Harris (Akron/Revere) has been selected as the OAC Men's Tennis Player-of-the-Week.

Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse sophomore midfielder Kayla Miller (Hudson) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Lacrosse Offensive Player-of-the-Week for the second time this season and for her career.

Baldwin Wallace University sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference left-handed pitcher Evan Lovick (Mentor) is this week's OAC Pitcher of the Week. It is his first career OAC Player-of-the-Week award.

BW student vocalists and orchestra members performed the opera "The Tragedy of Carmen" during the spring semester. Peter Brook's 1983 adaptation pares Georges Bizet's "Carmen" down to its most essential parts, while retaining much of its well-known music.

Baldwin Wallace University and Beck Center for the Arts produced their fifth collaboration with Lin-Manuel Miranda's "In the Heights," directed by Victoria Bussert with choreography by Gregory Daniels and musical direction by David Pepin. The Plain Dealer touted the production as "vibrant, heartfelt. . .pulsing with highly caffeinated life."

Baldwin Wallace University freshman women's tennis player Imani Robinson (Cincinnati /School for Creative & Performing Arts) has been selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player-of-the-Week for the first time in her career.

Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC standout Doug Ganim (Westerville/Olentangy Orange) has been selected as the OAC Men's Tennis Player-of-the-Week.

For the fifth year in a row, BW's Circle K service club won the Daniel J. Romanello Achievement Award, which is presented to the best Circle K club in Ohio. The award recognizes and honors clubs that have excelled in all aspects of club operation. BW's Circle K members were also recognized with individual awards in nearly every category.

Kelly Hoye of Painesville was named as the first Baldwin Wallace University Community Research Institute (CRI) Student Fellow. Along with Hoye, Dr. Julie Newcamp, Assistant Professor of Sociology/Criminal Justice Studies, is serving as the first CRI Faculty Fellow.

The BW Women's Club awarded $8,750 in scholarships to seven exceptional women on the basis of their academic record, future plans, goals and needs. The scholarships were awarded at a luncheon on Feb. 28, 2016.

BW broadcasting and mass communication major Sam Trapp won the Broadcast Education Association Walter S. Patterson Award. Sponsored by the National Association of Broadcasters, the $1,750 scholarship is awarded to students working toward a career in radio.

The Baldwin Wallace University wrestling team had its best season in the history of the program and the successes didn't just happen on the mat. They also took place in the classroom as the Yellow Jacket team and seven of its starters were honored at the 2016 NCAA Division III National Wrestling Championships by the NWCA (National Wrestling Coaches Association).

Baldwin Wallace University senior two-time NCAA Division III Champion and three-time indoor All-American thrower Kim Gallavan (Auburn Township/Kenston) has been selected as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Women's Field Outstanding Performer of the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships.
