Sophomore Ohio Athletic Conference midfielder and OAC Defender of the Year Maddie Russell (Lakewood/Rocky River) has been selected second-team Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Great Lakes Region.

The 2015 Student Life and Leadership Awards recognize the accomplishments of student leaders, faculty and staff advisors, organizations and programs that have made an impact on the BW community and beyond.

Three members of the school-record setting Baldwin Wallace University baseball team have been selected as to the D3baseball.com All-Mideast Region team.

Thirty-three Baldwin Wallace University spring sport student-athletes earned spring Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors. The group includes six softball players, five men's track and field competitors, four baseball players, four men's tennis players, four women's lacrosse players, four women's track and field competitors, three men's lacrosse players, two women's tennis players and one women's golfer.

Two Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis student-athletes, junior number-one singles and doubles player Peter Harris (Akron/Revere) and junior No.2 singles and No.1 doubles player Doug Ganim (Westerville / Olantangy Orange), have been named to the 2015 All-Ohio Athletic Conference men's tennis team. Harris also was chosen as the 2015 OAC Player of the Year.

Two Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis student-athletes, junior number-one singles and doubles player Kelsey Blatt (Tallmadge) and sophomore No.2 singles and doubles player Claire Watts (Medina/Highland), have been named to the 2015 All-Ohio Athletic Conference women's tennis team. This is the third straight year for Blatt and the first for Watts.

Four graduating seniors successfully nominated high school teachers for special recognition this spring. Teachers who engaged, inspired and encouraged the BW students, while preparing them for college, were recognized with the James Thomas High School Teacher Award. The award is funded by BW alumnus and trustee, James Thomas, chairman and CEO of Thomas Properties Group LLC, who lives in Los Angeles with his wife Sally.

Seven members of the fifth-nationally ranked and school-record setting Baldwin Wallace University baseball team have been selected as All-Ohio Athletic Conference.

BW's premier celebration of student success, "Ovation 2015: Unleashed Potential," spotlighted the outstanding creativity, research, and academic and artistic achievements of BW students. Eighteen talented student writers and artists at Baldwin Wallace University are featured in the 2015 edition of BW's annual literary and art journal, "The Mill." As a student-directed and student-operated publication, "The Mill" showcases the creative achievements of gifted students from across campus disciplines.

Students achieved membership in Baldwin Wallace University's Epsilon Nu Chapter of the National Communication Association's Lambda Pi Eta (LPH) Honor Society in the Spring 2015 semester. LPH seeks to recognize, foster and reward outstanding scholastic achievement while stimulating interest in the communication discipline.

The Baldwin Wallace University Center for Innovation & Growth (CIG) is pleased to announce the appointment of the 2015-16 CIG Student Fellows. The students, representing 24 majors, will spend the upcoming academic year exploring innovation, entrepreneurship, and values-based leadership.

Five students and two faculty members involved with BW's radio station, WBWC 88.3FM "The Sting," were Silver Microphone award winners in the 2015 Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) Awards.

Students at Baldwin Wallace University chose Ashley King as Student Body President and Tom Jackson as Vice President in campus-wide elections this spring. The student leaders, who were inaugurated on February 25, will provide leadership for a variety of student-led initiatives on the Berea campus for the next year.

New movement, new music and sociology! Student composers, choreographers and dancers created and performed "The Warriors' Journey," a collaborative movement/music project inspired by Dr. Carol Gregory's work evaluating workplace violence prevention for the United States Marine Corps

BW student vocalists and orchestra members performed the opera "La finta giardiniera" this spring. The early Mozart gem tells the fun and fantastical story of a noblewoman who disguises herself as a gardener to go looking for the man she loves. Romance literally drives the main characters mad, but they come to their senses and it all works out in the end.

Four diverse destinations, 41 caring Baldwin Wallace University students and one short spring break week added up to a world of difference. BW's Alternative Break service program provides students the opportunity to spend their break helping others. Each trip is led by a BW student with a University faculty or staff advisor also participating. The 2015 student volunteers traveled to Roanoke, Va.; Kissimmee, Fla.; Miami, Fla. and Biloxi, Miss.
