BW celebrates outstanding multicultural students each spring at the Obie Bender Multicultural Awards ceremony. The awards are named for Dr. Obie Bender '62, who was an officer of the University for 36 years. Throughout his tenure Bender provided exceptional leadership as a BW administrative liaison and was responsible for intercollegiate athletics, campus security, and the health and physical education and recreation facilities.

The following students achieved membership in the Alpha Mu Chapter of Sigma Iota Rho, Honor Society for International Studies at Baldwin Wallace University in the spring 2016 semester.

Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse All-Ohio Athletic Conference junior midfielders Maddie Russell (Lakewood/Rocky River) and Katie Kocher (Rocky River) have been selected to the second-team Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Great Lakes Region.

BW's Symphonic Wind Ensemble embarked on a six-day performance tour in Washington, D.C. over 2016 Spring Break. They interacted with students from four diverse high schools through a variety of master classes and performances. The tour culminated with a performance at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

The Center for Innovation & Growth (CIG) at Baldwin Wallace University is pleased to announce the 2016-17 CIG Ratcliffe Student Fellows. The group or 34 students, representing 39 majors, will spend the upcoming academic year turning passion into opportunity via innovation, entrepreneurship and integrity-based leadership.

Baldwin Wallace University senior two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference and two-time Academic All-OAC men's tennis standout Doug Ganim (Westerville/Olentangy Orange) has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 At-Large team. Ganim now qualifies for the CoSIDA Division III Academic All-America ballot.

BEREA, Ohio - Six Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse student-athletes have been recognized as All-Ohio Athletic Conference.

A talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University staged Charles Mee's "Big Love" during the spring 2016 semester. Directed by Anjanette Hall, the play puts a unique, modern twist to the Greek play, "The Suppliants" by Aeschylus when fifty brides (represented by 3) flee to a manor in Italy to avoid marrying their fifty cousins.

Baldwin Wallace University two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference and two-time Division III All-Mideast Region first baseman/designated hitter Hunter Handel (Akron/ Green) is this week's Ohio Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week.

Dance Marathon is the largest philanthropy organization on campus. Lasting 12 hours, the marathon consists of performers, dance and education about HIV/AIDS. All proceeds were donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, which seeks to educate and reduce the the transmission and cases of pediatric AIDS worldwide.

Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC standout Peter Harris (Akron/Revere) has been selected as the OAC Men's Tennis Player-of-the-Week.

Baldwin Wallace University and All-Ohio Athletic Conference senior shortstop Mark Zimmerman (Akron / Green) earned his third career OAC Hitter-of-the-Week honor for his strong performances last week.
