Baldwin Wallace University three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference men's tennis standout Doug Ganim (Westerville/Olentangy Orange) has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Division III Academic All-America At-Large third-team.

Melanie Winters, a senior from Baldwin Wallace University, was named the track & field nominee for the Class of 2016 Division III Honda Athlete of the Year as announced by Executive Director Chris Voelz of THE Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA) presented by Honda.

A talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University staged Matthew Barber's Tony-nominated play, "Enchanted April," during the spring 2016 semester. Directed by Jack Winget, the play is a joyfully restorative tale set amongst wisteria and Mediterranean sunshine as four women from post-World War I London rent a villa in Italy for a ladies-only holiday.

BW celebrates outstanding multicultural students each spring at the Obie Bender Multicultural Awards ceremony. The awards are named for Dr. Obie Bender '62, who was an officer of the University for 36 years. Throughout his tenure Bender provided exceptional leadership as a BW administrative liaison and was responsible for intercollegiate athletics, campus security, and the health and physical education and recreation facilities.

Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse All-Ohio Athletic Conference junior midfielders Maddie Russell (Lakewood/Rocky River) and Katie Kocher (Rocky River) have been selected to the second-team Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Great Lakes Region.

BW's Symphonic Wind Ensemble embarked on a six-day performance tour in Washington, D.C. over 2016 Spring Break. They interacted with students from four diverse high schools through a variety of master classes and performances. The tour culminated with a performance at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

The group or 34 students, representing 39 majors, will spend the upcoming academic year turning passion into opportunity via innovation, entrepreneurship and integrity-based leadership.
