34 Baldwin Wallace University spring sports student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

BW celebrates outstanding multicultural students each spring at the Obie Bender Multicultural Awards ceremony. The awards are named for Dr. Obie Bender '62, who was an officer of the University for 36 years. Throughout his tenure Bender provided exceptional leadership as a BW administrative liaison and was responsible for intercollegiate athletics, campus security, and the health and physical education and recreation facilities.

The following students achieved membership in the National German Honor Society, Delta Phi Alpha, in the spring 2016 semester.

The following students achieved membership in the Alpha Mu Chapter of Sigma Iota Rho, Honor Society for International Studies at Baldwin Wallace University in the spring 2016 semester.

The following students achieved membership in Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, in the spring 2016 semester.

BW's Symphonic Wind Ensemble embarked on a six-day performance tour in Washington, D.C. over 2016 Spring Break. They interacted with students from four diverse high schools through a variety of master classes and performances. The tour culminated with a performance at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse All-Ohio Athletic Conference junior midfielders Maddie Russell (Lakewood/Rocky River) and Katie Kocher (Rocky River) have been selected to the second-team Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Great Lakes Region.

The Center for Innovation & Growth (CIG) at Baldwin Wallace University is pleased to announce the 2016-17 CIG Ratcliffe Student Fellows. Baldwin Wallace University senior two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference and two-time Academic All-OAC men's tennis standout Doug Ganim (Westerville/Olentangy Orange) has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 At-Large team. Ganim now qualifies for the CoSIDA Division III Academic All-America ballot.

A talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University staged Charles Mee's "Big Love" during the spring 2016 semester. Directed by Anjanette Hall, the play puts a unique, modern twist to the Greek play, "The Suppliants" by Aeschylus when fifty brides (represented by 3) flee to a manor in Italy to avoid marrying their fifty cousins.

He now qualifies for the CoSIDA Division III Academic All-America ballot.

Dance Marathon is the largest philanthropy organization on campus. Lasting 12 hours, the marathon consists of performers, dance and education about HIV/AIDS. All proceeds were donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, which seeks to educate and reduce the the transmission and cases of pediatric AIDS worldwide.
