BW's Arroyo Named to d3wrestling.com All-Freshmen Team

Baldwin Wallace University freshman and All-Ohio Athletic Conference 165-pound wrestler Anthony Arroyo (Maumee) has been named to the d3wrestling.com Division III All-Freshman first-team. He was the only OAC freshman named to the first or second-team.

BW students spend Spring Break volunteering in Atlanta

Seven diverse cities, 51 caring Baldwin Wallace University students and one short spring break week added up to a world of difference. BW's Alternative Break service program provides students the opportunity to spend their breaks helping others. The 2016 student volunteers traveled to Atlanta; Boston; Kansas City, Mo.; New Orleans; Toledo, Ohio; Detroit and Chicago. The trips were led by a BW student with a University faculty or staff adviser providing support.

Baldwin Wallace University's Circle K wins best club in Ohio award for fifth consecutive year

For the fifth year in a row, BW's Circle K service club won the Daniel J. Romanello Achievement Award, which is presented to the best Circle K club in Ohio. The award recognizes and honors clubs that have excelled in all aspects of club operation. BW's Circle K members were also recognized with individual awards in nearly every category.

Kelly Hoye of Painesville was named as the first Baldwin Wallace University Community Research Institute (CRI) Student Fellow. Along with Hoye, Dr. Julie Newcamp, Assistant Professor of Sociology/Criminal Justice Studies, is serving as the first CRI Faculty Fellow.

BW broadcasting and mass communication major Sam Trapp won the Broadcast Education Association Walter S. Patterson Award. Sponsored by the National Association of Broadcasters, the $1,750 scholarship is awarded to students working toward a career in radio.

The BW Women's Club awarded $8,750 in scholarships to seven exceptional women on the basis of their academic record, future plans, goals and needs. The scholarships were awarded at a luncheon on Feb. 28, 2016.

Seven BW Wrestlers Honored by NWCA for Academics

The Baldwin Wallace University wrestling team had its best season in the history of the program and the successes didn't just happen on the mat. They also took place in the classroom as the Yellow Jacket team and seven of its starters were honored at the 2016 NCAA Division III National Wrestling Championships by the NWCA (National Wrestling Coaches Association).
