The Center for Innovation & Growth (CIG) at Baldwin Wallace University is pleased to announce the 2016-17 CIG Ratcliffe Student Fellows. The group or 34 students, representing 39 majors, will spend the upcoming academic year turning passion into opportunity via innovation, entrepreneurship and integrity-based leadership.

Baldwin Wallace University junior three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference midfielder Maddie Russell (Lakewood/Rocky River) has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 At-Large team. Russell now qualifies for the CoSIDA Division III Academic All-America ballot.

Baldwin Wallace University senior three-time Division III All-American wrestler Jesse Gunter (Akron/Coventry) have been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 At-Large team. Gunter now qualifies for the CoSIDA Division III Academic All-America ballot.

Baldwin Wallace University senior two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference and two-time Academic All-OAC men's tennis standout Doug Ganim (Westerville/Olentangy Orange) has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 At-Large team. Ganim now qualifies for the CoSIDA Division III Academic All-America ballot.

Six Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse student-athletes have been recognized as All-Ohio Athletic Conference and one has been named as the OAC Defender-of-the-Year.

The following students achieved membership in BW's Alpha Mu Zeta chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society.

A talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University staged Charles Mee's "Big Love" during the spring 2016 semester. Directed by Anjanette Hall, the play puts a unique, modern twist to the Greek play, "The Suppliants" by Aeschylus when fifty brides (represented by 3) flee to a manor in Italy to avoid marrying their fifty cousins.

The following students achieved membership in Upsilon Pi Epsilon, International Honor Society for the Computing and Information Disciplines, in the spring 2016 semester.

Baldwin Wallace University softball freshman first baseman Alexis Boledovic (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) and freshman shortstop Erica English (North Olmsted) have been selected as honorable mention All-Ohio Athletic Conference.

Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC standout Peter Harris (Akron/Revere) has been selected as the OAC Men's Tennis Player-of-the-Week.

Dance Marathon is the largest philanthropy organization on campus. Lasting 12 hours, the marathon consists of performers, dance and education about HIV/AIDS. All proceeds were donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, which seeks to educate and reduce the the transmission and cases of pediatric AIDS worldwide.

Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC standout Kyle Patterson (Wooster/Triway) has been selected as this weeks OAC Men's Tennis Player-of-the-Week.

Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse sophomore midfielder Kayla Miller (Hudson) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Lacrosse Offensive Player-of-the-Week for the second time this season and for her career.

The 2016 student volunteers traveled to Atlanta; Boston; Kansas City, Mo.; New Orleans; Toledo, Ohio; Detroit and Chicago. The trips were led by a BW student with a University faculty or staff adviser providing support.

Baldwin Wallace University sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference left-handed pitcher Evan Lovick (Mentor) is this week's OAC Pitcher of the Week. It is his first career OAC Player-of-the-Week award.

BW student vocalists and orchestra members performed the opera "The Tragedy of Carmen" during the spring semester. Peter Brook's 1983 adaptation pares Georges Bizet's "Carmen" down to its most essential parts, while retaining much of its well-known music.

Baldwin Wallace University and Beck Center for the Arts produced their fifth collaboration with Lin-Manuel Miranda's "In the Heights," directed by Victoria Bussert with choreography by Gregory Daniels and musical direction by David Pepin. The Plain Dealer touted the production as "vibrant, heartfelt. . .pulsing with highly caffeinated life."
