In a historic display of depth and dominance, the Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team earned a record-breaking 14 All-Ohio Athletic Conference selections-the most in a single season in OAC history. The milestone marks a new standard for both the program and the league. Highlighting the historic list is junior All-OAC attack Bennet Trout (Pickerington / North), who was named OAC Offensive Player of the Year after an exceptional season leading the team's high-powered attack.

The BW Circle K service club received a raft of awards at the recent statewide Ohio District Circle K Convention.

Six Baldwin Wallace University women's wrestling student-athletes have been recognized by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) as Scholar All-Americans.

Students at Baldwin Wallace University elected their 113th student body president and vice president. The winning team of president Leah Kania of Albion, New York, and vice president Aniya Qualls of Elyria, Ohio, officially took office during an inauguration ceremony held on Tuesday, Feb. 25.

Baldwin Wallace University congratulates our fall 2024 graduates. The following students have fulfilled all requirements for their graduate and/or undergraduate degrees.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2024 semester at Baldwin Wallace University, according to Provost Thomas C. Sutton. The Dean's List recognizes students who earn a grade point average of 3.8 or higher while enrolled in 12 or more graded hours during the semester.

Named scholarships were earned by over 750 students at Baldwin Wallace University this fall. BW has a long history of scholarship support from alumni, faculty, trustees and friends. Over 460 named scholarships provide more than $4.8 million to help students attend, persist and graduate from BW. In addition, they carry on the donors' legacies through the lives of the students who receive their support. The scholarships vary in requirements, with many specifying financial need, a course of study, involvement on campus or a commitment to excellence in a particular field.

Thirty-two students took their learning off campus during the 2023-2024 academic year. With help from the BW Center for Global Exploration's Independent Study program, students created individualized immersion experiences across the globe.

Twelve students pursued research of their own design under a faculty mentor's supervision as part of BW's Summer Scholars program.

Twenty Baldwin Wallace University graduates went above and beyond their degree requirements to complete BW's challenging and rewarding Honors program. The motivated students made the most of their college experience by joining a community of scholars dedicated to academic excellence, leadership development and community engagement, developing the whole student along the way. Interdisciplinary and experiential, the BW Honors program offers students unique, seminar-style courses that encourage academic exploration and independent thinking as well as countless opportunities to grow as campus leaders.

Under the direction of assistant professor of acting and directing Laura Welsh Berg, BW students staged Josie Rourke's 2018 adaptation of William Shakespeare's "Measure for Measure."

Ovation, BW's annual celebration of student achievement, showcased student success in research, scholarship, experiential learning, the arts and more. The Day of Excellence featured student work from every school of the university through posters, displays, live presentations and performances.

The White Rose Ceremony is held annually in memory of Philura Gould Baldwin, BW's first librarian and granddaughter of BW founder John Baldwin. An oration is given, and select female graduates carry white roses in memory of Philura, whose life was cut short by consumption at age 26. While no criteria must be met, each woman must have distinguished herself by making a difference in the BW community.

Each spring, Baldwin Wallace University recognizes student achievement with a variety of scholarships and awards for academics, athletics, service and leadership at the Academic Honor Awards ceremony.

Co-hosted by the Student Life Center and the Brain Center for Community Engagement, the Student Life and Leadership Awards recognize and celebrate the co-curricular accomplishments and contributions of BW student leaders, faculty, staff, student organization advisors, student organizations and programs that have made a positive impact on the BW and surrounding communities.

Seven students achieved membership in the BW Delta Upsilon Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society in the spring 2024 semester.

BW celebrates outstanding multicultural students each spring with the Dr. Obie Bender Multicultural Awards. The awards honor and affirm the contributions of underrepresented members of the BW community as well as those who contribute to the overall spirit of inclusion. The awards are named for Dr. Obie Bender '62, who was an officer of the University for 36 years. Throughout his tenure, Bender provided exceptional leadership as a BW administrative liaison and was responsible for intercollegiate athletics, campus security and the health and physical education and recreation facilities.

Baldwin Wallace University announces the 2023-24 LaunchNET interns. Interns are trained to assist BW entrepreneurs by participating in confidential venture coaching meetings. Additionally, they lead LaunchNET's marketing efforts and coordinate entrepreneurial programming across campus.

Baldwin Wallace's Ovation 2021 Day of Excellence was held as a virtual event this year, but the student achievements highlighted throughout the day were no less stellar than in the past.
