Two Baldwin Wallace University softball student-athletes have been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/Google Cloud Academic All-District 7 team.

The White Rose Ceremony is held annually in memory of Philura Gould Baldwin, granddaughter of BW founder John Baldwin and BW's first librarian. An oration is given and select female graduates carry white roses in memory of Philura whose life was cut short by tuberculosis at age 26. While no criteria must be met, each woman must have distinguished herself by making a difference in the BW community.

Senior attack Chad Steinwachs (Buffalo, N.Y./Williamsville North) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year to headline the Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse All-OAC selections.

The 2019 Student Life and Leadership Awards recognized the accomplishments of student leaders, faculty and staff advisers, organizations and programs that have made an impact on the BW community and beyond.

The Baldwin Wallace University Honors Program officially inducted 19 rising sophomore students at a pinning ceremony during the spring 2019 semester. The program strives for a learning environment inside and outside the classroom that engages the whole student, seeks to connect theoretical ideas to real world applications, fosters independent thinking and brings students together into a community of scholars.

Under the direction of assistant professor Anjanette Hall and three student assistant directors, BW students staged Jose Rivera's apocalyptic play about guardian angels enlisting the aid of New York City homeless people in a battle to save the universe from a God who has lost his mind.

Baldwin Wallace University softball senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC right fielder Alexis Boledovic (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) has been named the OAC Softball Hitter of the Week for the second time in her career.

BW celebrates outstanding multicultural students each spring at the Obie Bender Multicultural Awards ceremony. The awards are named for Dr. Obie Bender '62, who was an officer of the University for 36 years. Throughout his tenure, Bender provided exceptional leadership as a BW administrative liaison and was responsible for intercollegiate athletics, campus security and the health and physical education and recreation facilities.

A distinguished group of students at Baldwin Wallace University has reached BW's pinnacle of academic honor society achievement with induction into the Dayton C. Miller Honor Society. Less than four percent of the undergraduate student body achieves membership in the society.

Thirty-one students spent the fall 2018 semester away from BW learning off campus. With help from the BW Study Abroad Center's Independent Study program, students created individualized immersion experiences in Australia, England, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Washington, D.C. and on the high seas.
