Baldwin Wallace University congratulates our spring 2018 graduates. The following students completed all requirements for an undergraduate and/or graduate degree.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester at Baldwin Wallace University according to Provost Stephen D. Stahl. Any full-time student who achieves a GPA of at least 3.6 for 12 or more graded hours or part-time student who achieves a GPA of at least 3.6 for six or more graded hours in the fall or spring semester will be placed on the Dean's List.

Twenty-seven students spent the spring 2018 semester away from BW learning off campus. With help from the BW Study Abroad Center's Independent Study program, students created individualized immersion experiences in Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Japan, Morocco, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Three students achieved membership in Delta Phi Alpha, the National German Honor Society, in the spring 2018 semester.

Ovation Festival, BW's annual celebration of student achievement, showcased student success in research, scholarship, experiential learning, the arts and more. The signature event of the 18-day festival was the Day of Excellence, which featured student work from every school of the University through posters, displays, live presentations and performances.

The Baldwin Wallace University football team and second-year Head Coach Jim Hilvert have announced that five student-athletes will serve as team captains for the 2018 season.

The National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Football Hall of Fame has recognized three Baldwin Wallace University football student-athletes as members of the 2018 NFF Hampshire Honor Society.

Two students achieved membership in the Baldwin Wallace University chapter of Iota Tau Alpha Athletic Training Education Honor Society in the spring 2018 semester.

Twenty-one BW speech-language pathology graduate students participated in a service-learning program in Zambia, Africa, a transformative two-week clinical practicum providing speech and language services at a variety of sites around the country.

Twenty-seven BW students participated in the "Coaching or Teaching in Ireland" study abroad program, a transformative three-week experience in collaboration with University College Cork, during the spring 2018 semester. The program provides students the opportunity to experience firsthand the way physical education and coaching can positively impact students academically or athletically while also touring some of Ireland's iconic sites.

Twenty-three BW students participated in the "Seminar in Germany" study abroad program, a transformative three-week experience in Munich, Berlin and Dresden, during the spring 2018 semester. The program provides the opportunity for students to explore intercultural communication, both in theory and practice, by experiencing the language and culture of Germany firsthand.

Eighteen BW students participated in the "Discover the Dominican Republic" study abroad program, a transformative two-week experience focusing on food and nutrition in the Dominican Republic, during the spring 2018 semester. The program provides insight into not only food and nutrition in the Dominican Republic, but also Dominican-Haitian relations, history and culture through guest lectures and living with Dominican host families.

Nineteen BW students participated in the "Discovering China" study abroad program, a transformative three-week experience in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing, during the spring 2018 semester. The program provides students with the chance to experience the history and culture of China while also giving them insight into modern international business.

The Baldwin Wallace University Honors Program officially inducted 16 rising sophomore students at a pinning ceremony during the spring 2018 semester. The program strives for a learning environment inside and outside the classroom that engages the whole student, seeks to connect theoretical ideas to real world applications, fosters independent thinking and brings students together into a community of scholars.

Baldwin Wallace University sophomore All-American distance runner Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) has been selected to the Google Cloud Academic All-America Division III Cross Country/Track and Field team.

Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference defender Brian Jandzinski (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster Central) has been named to the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) NCAA Division III All-West Region honorable mention team.

Eleven students achieved membership in the Gamma Sigma Alpha, National Greek Academic Honor Society, in the spring 2018 semester.

Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference second baseman Spencer Badia (Bellaire) has been selected as the Google Cloud Academic All-America of the Year, headlining the Academic All-America Division III Baseball Team.

The classic and timeless play "A View from the Bridge" was brought to life by a talented cast and crew of BW students. Set in an Italian American neighborhood in the 1950s, the play explores complex family relationships and the events that occur after illegal immigrants move into town.

Recent BW communication science and disorders graduate Paige Lindauer '18 won the prestigious Dr. Warner Moore Graduate Fellowship. The $3,000 fellowship, awarded by the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society for First-Year Students, aids in offsetting the cost of further professional studies.

The Women for BW Legacy Award supports women with financial need working toward their graduate or undergraduate degree at Baldwin Wallace University. The Legacy Award honors the history of the Baldwin Wallace Women's Club, established in 1921. For nearly a century, alumnae and friends from throughout the BW community gathered, in the spirit of philanthropy, to generate funds to help female students in need.

Three students achieved membership in the Baldwin Wallace University chapter of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, in the spring 2018 semester.

Seven students achieved membership in the Baldwin Wallace University French Recognition Society in the spring 2018 semester.

Seven students achieved membership in the Baldwin Wallace University chapter of Nu Rho Psi, National Honor Society in Neuroscience, in the spring 2018 semester.

Fourteen students achieved membership in Upsilon Pi Epsilon, International Honor Society for the Computing and Information Disciplines, in the spring 2018 semester.
