Baldwin Wallace University junior two-time All-American distance runner Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week.

For the fourth time this season, Baldwin Wallace University softball freshman right hander Nikki Camarati (Brunswick/Holy Name) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Forty-four Baldwin Wallace University students made a difference by volunteering at diverse destinations during the 2019 spring break. The BW Alternative Break service program gives students the opportunity to spend their breaks helping others. A distinguished group of students at Baldwin Wallace University has reached BW's pinnacle of academic honor society achievement with induction into the Dayton C. Miller Honor Society. Less than four percent of the undergraduate student body achieves membership in the society.

Thirty-one students spent the fall 2018 semester away from BW learning off campus. With help from the BW Study Abroad Center's Independent Study program, students created individualized immersion experiences in Australia, England, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Washington, D.C. and on the high seas.

This spring, the BW theatre and dance community presented "fyoo zh en," the annual dance concert combining choreography with faculty research. This year's concert was inspired by sociology and criminal justice professor Dr. Brian Monahan's book, "The Shock of the News: Media Coverage and the Making of 9/11," which examines how America's news media influences our perception of social reality.

Baldwin Wallace University and Beck Center for the Arts produced "Once," a testament to the transcendent power of love and music, under the direction of Victoria Bussert with choreography by Greg Daniels and music direction by Matthew Webb. The Plain Dealer called it a "fantastic production that keeps the focus firmly where it should be: the music."

Following his performance at the opening meet of the outdoor season, Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference thrower Zak Dysert (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry) has earned the OAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week honor.

Fifty-nine students participated in the 18th Annual Dance Marathon at Baldwin Wallace University. Dance Marathon is the largest philanthropy organization on campus. Lasting 12 hours, the marathon consists of performers, dance and HIV/AIDS education. All proceeds are donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, which seeks to educate and reduce the the transmission and cases of pediatric AIDS worldwide.
