The Yellow Jacket community was abuzz with excitement during Baldwin Wallace University's Homecoming Weekend. Festivities included a pep rally, parade, tailgate picnic, carnival, alumni reunions and a Yellow Jacket football 38-21 victory over the Wilmington College Quakers. The Jacket Prince and Princess were crowned during the pep rally and the King and Queen were crowned at halftime.

More than 400 first-year students welcomed to the Baldwin Wallace University campus this fall earned $6.1 million in merit scholarships for their outstanding high school achievements. BW grants a wide range of scholarships to current students each year. Including merit and need-based scholarships, BW students received over $45 million in financial support from the University for the 2017-2018 academic year.

The experience was in partnership with Mission Guatemala, an organization that focuses on improving the quality of life for impoverished Guatemalans through nutrition, education and health initiatives.

With help from the BW Study Abroad Center's Independent Study program, students created individualized immersion experiences in Australia, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Morocco, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Washington, D.C.
